Update Your Apple Devices To Avoid Device Hacking
A cybersecurity lab found a new exploit on an iPhone from a well-known spyware company that spurred Apple to push an urgent software update.
The malicious software takes control of an Apple device by first sending a message through iMessage and then hacking through a flaw in how Apple processes images. Known as a “zero-click” exploit, it doesn’t require you to click a link or download a file to take over. You wouldn’t even know you had been hacked.
To avoid this, be sure to always keep your technology products updated to the latest software, especially this last update pushed to iPads, MacBooks, iPhones, Apple Watches, and all Apple software. Never click on links from people you don’t know, even through iMessage.
Be aware, even with updates and security patches, you are always at risk for fraud, hacking, and cyber attacks. Keep a vigilant eye on your finances, and invest in monitoring software that manages your information on the dark web.
